As a passionate advocate for youth basketball and a dedicated volunteer coach, I am excited to offer my experience and leadership to help guide and grow our program. I have had the privilege of coaching, working with and volunteering at various levels, including volunteering with the high school basketball team, where I gained invaluable insights into player development and team dynamics. This experience has deepened my commitment to fostering a positive environment where athletes can thrive both on and off the court. In addition to my coaching background, I previously served as the president of another youth equestrian program. During my time in that leadership role, I worked closely with instructors, youth members, and parents to create a cohesive and supportive community, and implemented key initiatives that improved engagement and overall program success.
As a mother of two daughters currently playing basketball—one in high school and one in middle school—I understand the importance of a strong, organized program that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. I am deeply committed to ensuring that our youth athletes have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed and grow, both as basketball players and individuals. I am honored to be in this role, and I look forward to contributing to the continued success and growth of our program, ensuring it remains a positive and rewarding experience for all involved.
Thank you for joining our program!!

As a basketball coach now, with over 45 years of experience coaching both boys and girls AAU to high school combined with my passion for the sport, I hope to continue to empower student athletes to realize their full potential.
I believe that a coach should have clear defined goals for their team, their athletes, and themselves.
My approach is holistic, addressing the emotional, mental and physical aspects of resilience.

Born and raised in Eatonville, Washington, Sarah has a deep-rooted passion for basketball and giving back to her community. A former standout player at Eatonville High School, she continued her basketball career at the collegiate level before returning home to coach and mentor young athletes. With over three years of volunteer experience with the Eatonville Youth Sports Association, she has dedicated her time to developing youth players both on and off the court.
Sarah believes in the power of teamwork, hard work, and fostering a positive environment where athletes can thrive. When she’s not coaching, she enjoys spending time with her three young children and being out on the water boating. She is excited to bring her experience, energy, and passion to AAU basketball, helping players grow both as athletes and individuals.
Basketball has been a lifelong passion of mine, from my own playing days to now supporting the next generation of athletes. As a volunteer with EYSA and a proud parent of a teenage daughter who has been immersed in the game for the past two years, I’ve seen firsthand the impact that organized sports can have on youth development. Recognizing the need for an AAU basketball club in our small town of Eatonville, I was eager to help create an opportunity for local girls to grow their skills, build confidence, and compete at a higher level. As Vice President, my goal is to foster a positive, community-driven environment where young athletes can thrive both on and off the court. I’m excited for this new journey and look forward to seeing this club bring our community together while empowering our girls to reach their full potential.
Born and raised in the PNW and moved to Eatonville in 2019. With 20 years of service to this state and country, service to my community is my passion. Currently serving as Board Member for EYSA and have coached within the organization for the past 3 years as well 2 years in Yelm Winter Basketball League. I find myself to be a great motivator when mentoring individuals under my guidance in a variety of settings. The organizational and training mindset I have accumulated over my career allows me to visualize strengths and weaknesses in order to adapt and ensure a common goal or understanding is reached both individually and at a team level. I am excited to be part of this organization and meeting everyone who wants to see what it can bring to our community.
I’ve spent my entire life in Washington, with the past 20 years in the Yelm and Eatonville area. Throughout my school years, sports were my passion, providing both peace and purpose. They were a way to make sense of the world and gave me the drive to keep pushing forward. Now, I serve on this board to help foster skills and build confidence in the young girls of Eatonville.
I've previously served as the athletic director for the EYSA board and coached several seasons across multiple sports. Through this experience, I’ve come to realize the lasting impact sports and coaching can have on kids. It’s something they carry with them for a lifetime. My goal is to help instill that same passion, ensuring these young athletes never give up on their dreams and sports goals.
My oldest daughter is a middle school basketball player and has been involved in the sport since discovering her love for it. Her dreams are what drive me to advocate for an organization that can nurture and support the growth of young basketball players. My youngest daughter enjoys watching her sister play and loves practicing with her and the team.
Outside of sports, my family enjoys caring for our animals and working on our mini homestead. We believe in the values of family, hard work, and pursuing the things we love.
